How to make croque madam recipe

In a bowl, mix the sour cream and ricotta with a little salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Assemble the sandwiches: spread a little cream/ricotta mixture on two slices of bread, then add a slice of ham on each and a little grated cheese and top with the other two slices of bread. Cover this second slice of bread with the remaining cream/ricotta mixture and sprinkle with more grated cheese.

Cook in the air fryer basket at 200°C (400°F) for 10 minutes. Serve with a fried egg on top.

Citro food tip

Serve this sandwich with a nice leafy salad. You can also make a croque monsieur by simply leaving out the fried egg on top of the sandwich.
