How to make muesli bars recipe

In a bowl, mash the bananas with a fork. Add the rolled oats, crushed hazelnuts, crushed almonds, honey and apple purée. Stir to combine.

Line the air fryer basket with baking paper, bringing the edges 5 cm (2 inches) up the sides. Spread out the mixture to form a 2–3 cm (¾–1¼ inch) thick rectangle. Air fry for 10 to 15 minutes at 200°C (400°F).

Once the mixture is cooked, let cool and then cut into bars.

Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 20- to 30-second bursts. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the bars, then let set before eating or storing.

Citro food tip

Almost any nut that is affordable can be used in place of hazelnuts and almonds. Apple purée is available in the canned section of the supermarket, or can be made by cooking down peeled apples until very soft and then puréeing with a stick blender.
