Don't miss our Christmas #ShareTheJoy Facebook challenge

Citro will be spreading joy this December, can we count you in?
By Maddie Southall
Lot’s of us want to feel more connected to our communities, so to round out the year, we are inviting you to join our #ShareTheJoy challenge, to feel good and lift the people around you up too.
What is the #ShareTheJoy challenge?
Think of it as an advent calendar, but instead of opening a tiny cardboard door to find some waxy, questionable chocolate, you get a daily prompt for a simple, feel-good action.
It’s completely free, it’s fun, and it’s all about putting a little bit of kindness back into the world (and into your own day) for all 24 days leading up to Christmas.
Every day at 8am from 1 December, we’ll post a simple idea of something nice you can do for your community or yourself. Try to tick off every small act of kindness (or just as many as you can!) during the day.
Join the Citro Facebook page to see how other Citro members go with the challenge. You can join in the fun by sharing your experience in the comments, posting a photo, or just enjoying seeing how other people interpret the prompt. There are no prizes and no pressure – just a community coming together to make the world a tiny bit friendlier.
🎄➡️ Come #ShareTheJoy on our Facebook page at 8am each day!
What you can expect from your feel-good December
The prompts are all simple, practical, and designed to be genuinely enjoyable, not another chore on your todo list.
We’re talking about things like:
- Buying a coffee for a friend, a neighbour, or the stranger behind you in the queue.
- Writing a quick text, email or card to someone you haven’t spoken to in a while.
- Baking (or buying!) a treat to share with someone.
- Posting a song that always gets you in the festive spirit.
- Calling someone who’d love to hear from you, bonus points if it’s an old friend.

We’ll also have prompts to get you thinking and sharing what makes you smile, like telling someone what you love about them or posting a photo or happy memory. We want to know the book that inspired you this year, the recipe for your favourite summer cocktail, and your all-time favourite Christmas movie.
We'll even investigate your Christmas wrapping style – are you neat-and-tidy with perfect edges or part of the "creative chaos" club? (Bron’s mum favours wrapping with alfoil, and honestly, we think she’s a genius).
Why bother? Long story short - it feels good
In a season that has become so much about getting and spending, this is a simple, pressure-free way to focus on giving and connecting.
Small acts of kindness are surprisingly powerful. They obviously make someone else's day a little better, but research consistently shows they are a powerful happiness booster for the giver, too. It’s a proven way to increase your sense of well-being and foster a genuine feeling of community. It’s a total win-win.

So, if you’re looking for a way to find more meaning this December, come and join us on Facebook at 8am each day..
We can’t wait to share the joy with you.
