Terms & Conditions

Introduction

  1. The promoter of Citro’s ‘Up to $100 Joining Offer’ is Citrus Innovations Pty Ltd ABN 25 667 285 654 of Level 21, 50 Bridge Street, Sydney, NSW, 2000, Australia. 
  2. Citro offers a cashback payment to New-to-Citro Eligible Cardholders of up to $100.00 AUD who apply, are approved for a Citro card, activate and link their card within the Promotional Period. 

    2.1. $100 cash back will be applied to the Eligible Cardholders' Citro Card as Stored Value upon successfully completing the signup process for a Citro Card within the Promotional Period. 
  3. Eligible Cardholders agree to be bound by these terms and conditions by applying for the Citro Card. 

Definitions

In these terms and conditions: 

  1. Citro means Citrus Innovations Pty Ltd ABN 25 667 285 654 and its related bodies corporate or any of its agents or contractors from time to time; 
  2. New to Citro means an Eligible Cardholder who:

    2.1. Has successfully applied and been approved for a new Citro Card through Citro’s iOS mobile app. 

    2.2. Is not the holder of a Citro Card or has not been the holder of a Citro Card in the prior 12 months. 

    2.3. Has successfully linked their Citro Card to their Eligible Australian Bank Account.

    2.4. Has successfully activated their Citro Card in the Citro iOS mobile app for use. ‍
  3. Citro Card means Citro branded rewards membership Visa debit card issued by Hay Limited ABN 34 629 037 403 (Hay), with Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) No. 515459. Citro is authorised by Hay to provide customer service support for the Account and Card. This authority is provided under Corporate Authorised Representative No. 001305395.‍
  4. Promotional Period means dates between 12:00am Friday 1st December 2023 and 11:59pm Wednesday 31st January 2024 Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time (AEDST). ‍
  5. Eligible Cardholder means eligible customers who meet and comply with Section 1 ‘Eligible Criteria’ of these terms and conditions‍
  6. Cashback means credit that is available to spend on the card. ‍
  7. Offer means the Up to $100 cashback available to new-to-Citro Card holders promotional offer.  
  8. Citro Partner Merchant means retailer where there is a current and available Citro partner promotion or deal.  ‍
  9. Eligible Australian Bank Account means Australian Financial Institution with PayTo service. This includes; 

    a. Commonwealth Bank
    b. Great Southern Bank
    c. Bendigo and Adelaide Bank – BEN
    d. Delphi Bank (part of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank)
    e. RACQ
    f. Defence Bank
    g. Police and Nurses Bank
    h. Bank Australia
    i. BankWAW
    j. Teachers Mutual Bank
    k. First Option Bank
    l. Horizon Bank
    m. Geelong Bank
    n. Reliance Bank
    o. Regional Australia Bank
    p. Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ)
    q. Westpac
    r. Cuscal Bank
    s. Macquarie Bank – MQG
    t. National Australia Bank – NAB

10. Card Issuer means Hay Limited ABN 34 629 037 403 (Hay), with Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) No. 515459

1. Eligibility Criteria

1. In order to be eligible to participate in this Offer, you must: 

   a. Be an individual person
    b. Have a valid Australian residential address
    c. Be over the age of 40 
    d. You apply and are approved for a Citro Card within the Promotional Period. 
    e. You have not previously successfully applied to participate in this Offer within the 12 month period prior to applying for this Offer.
    f. You meet the conditions of section 2 of these Terms and Conditions 


2. Offer and application 

2.1 If you have met the relevant eligibility criteria for this offer, Citro will calculate the applicable cashback amount based on the following:

a. $100 cashback will be applied to the Eligible Cardholders' Citro Card as cashback once the approved Eligible Cardholder has linked their Citro Card to their existing eligible Australian Bank Account and activated their Citro Card within the Promotional Period.  

2.2 Cashback will be applied to the Eligible Cardholders' Citro Account within 7 days of meeting the eligibility criteria. 

2.3 An Eligible Cardholder may receive a maximum of $100 cashback where 2.1.a. criteria are met within the Promotional Period. 

2.4 Cashback will be valid for use for 12 months. Unused cashback will be forfeited.

2.5 Cashback can be used anywhere the Citro card is accepted.

3. Tax and duties

3.1 You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for any taxation liability you may incur in relation to your participation in the Offer.

4. Exclusions 

Without limiting any other provision of these terms and conditions: 

4.1 This Offer is not available in connection with, or in addition to, any other Citro offer, promotion, rebate or benefit  

4.2 This Offer can only be redeemed by an Eligible Cardholder once.

4.3 If any of the Eligible Cardholder has redeemed a Citro promotion within the 12 months prior to the date they will be ineligible to participate in this Offer.

5. Variation and Termination

5.1 Citro may vary these terms and conditions from time to time, including by:  
     I. adding, withdrawing or substituting any benefits available to you under the Offer; 
     II. changing the applicable cashback amount; 
     III. changing the method by which the applicable cashback amount is applied; 
     IV. changing the circumstances or time at which the applicable cashback amount will be credited onto the Eligible Cardholders' Citro Card.
     V. changing the eligibility criteria or requirements that must be met to receive the Cashback Offer.  
     VI. changing the duration of the Offer or the period of time in relation to which the Cashback Offer is available; 

5.2 Citro may terminate or withdraw the Cashback Offer at any time without prior notice. 

5.3 Citro may reject, cancel, or reverse a Cashback Offer payment if it has reasonable grounds to believe that a person’s conduct or dealings with respect to the Citro Card, Offer or any other dealings with Citro may be fraudulent or otherwise illegal. 

5.4 If you are not satisfied with any change or variation Citro makes to the Offer, you can terminate your participation at any time by providing a written notice to Citro.

6. Other Matters

6.1 Citro reserves the right to disqualify any person who participates in the Offer but does not comply with these terms and conditions or who tampers with the Offer process.

6.2 Failure by Citro to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. Errors and omissions will be accepted at Citro’s discretion.

6.3 All applications for the Citro Card are subject to the Card Issuer’s approval criteria. Terms and conditions, fees and charges, and other eligibility criteria apply. 

6.4 These terms and conditions are separate to the ‘Citro Account and Citro Card Terms & Conditions and the Citro Cashback Terms and Conditions  

6.5 To the extent of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and the terms and conditions of your Citro Account and Card Terms and Conditions or the Citro Cashback Terms and Conditions, the terms and conditions of Citro Account and Card Terms and Conditions and the Citro Cashback Terms and Conditions will prevail.
